FAQ
Average match takes 11 minutes. People play before lunch, after meetings or at end-of-day — like grabbing a coffee. Klash also lets workspace admins set quiet hours so the queue is off during focused work blocks.
Klash is opt-in. Anyone in the workspace can spectate without ever playing. The leaderboard is opt-out — players who want to play casually can hide their rank from the public board.
No. Klash never involves money. The 'stakes' on a match are bragging rights and (optional) team-nominated treats like 'loser brings pastries Friday.'
Standard Elo. Everyone starts at 1200. Rookies have a K-factor of 40 for their first 10 games — meaning their rating catches up to reality fast. Most new players reach a stable rating within two weeks.
When someone joins your workspace, Klash sends a one-line welcome: 'Challenge your buddy to one game this week.' 80%+ of new hires play their first match within five days.
Yes. The TV mode + Slack notifications keep remote teammates in the loop. Live spectator view lets them watch ongoing matches with rolling Elo predictions, so even people who don't visit the office stay connected.
Only ratings, match outcomes, and the email used to sign in. No calendar content, no Slack data, no location, no other tool integrations unless your admin enables them.
Klash also works for darts, pool, chess, board games — anything two players (or two teams) can score. The Elo system is game-agnostic. Set up a 'Mario Kart' league in two minutes.
